Position: Facilities Asset Coordinator

Location: Waukegan, Il

Salary: $67,208 - $76,738

Job Summary: Responsible for performing complex work related to coordination and development of Lake County projects; managed occupancy of County owned facilities; develops basic facilities requirements for departments and stakeholder. Candidate will also develop short and long-range Capital Improvement Plans (CIP) and maintenance execution plans (MEP); develops initial project documentation during CIP process; coordinates with elected officials and Board Members to consolidate documentation for work induction and execution; and identifies land and facilities priorities to support organizational requirements.

Becoming a Facilities Asset Coordinator would allow you to be involved with the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of Lake County facilities that impact all departments and agencies. Your day will consist of department/stakeholder interaction, facilities management, and project development for the County. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning.

In order to be successful in this role you should have an Bachelor’s degree preferred in architecture, engineering, or construction management and a minimum of five years of experience. Individuals should have a working knowledge of facilities construction and project management and possess the ability to effectively problem solve and have the ability to work both individually and in a team atmosphere.
