Web Application Developer (Water Commissioner)

POSITION SUMMARY: This is an ASP.Net web developer position with the Department of
Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Water Resources. This position is located in
Carson City. As part of a small software development team, you will play a key role in
conserving, protecting, enhancing, and managing Nevada's water resources. An ideal candidate
will have experience in developing web applications in ASP.Net, JavaScript, and SQL, including
software design, coding, testing, and implementation. Experience in client-side development
technologies like JQuery is preferred. If you have strong problem solving skills with a flair for
creativity, an educational background in computer science or information systems and have
experience and interest in developing web applications, you are highly encouraged to apply.
MINIMUM Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's
degree in Computer Science or closely related field.
REQUIRED Qualifications:
• Experience designing and developing web-based applications using the ASP.Net
framework.
• Experience designing and querying relational databases.
• Ability to collaborate with functional software stakeholders to understand business
requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to leverage strong written and oral communication skills to develop project
documentation.
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.

APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY (DOE):
Employee/Employer Paid Retirement $63,746.64 - $95,672.16
Employer Paid Retirement $55,603.44 - $83,457.36
