Job Description

The Events Coordinator is the primary point of contact for events supporting the Athletics Development unit within the Athletics Department. Utilizing best event planning practices, implements a variety of large- and small-scale events to support the relationship-building and philanthropic goals of the Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

1. Plan and coordinate event logistics; determine event location, invitations, programs, menus, tone, select and work with appropriate vendors.
2. Market and publicize events; Prepare event briefings and program materials, including timely briefing of advancement/athletics staff and other key stakeholders.
3. Manage existing events:
-Athletic Director's Football Suite
-Spartan Athletics Fund Signature Events
-Endowment Luncheon
-President's Cup Golf Tournament
-National Letter of Intent (NLI) Events
-Town Hall Events
4. Manage new/other events as needed.
5. Provide work lead direction, including assigning and training additional staff needed to produce events, as well as coordinating staffing needs with the department(s) associated with the events.
6. Prepare and monitor event budgets.
