Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for an Epic Systems Administrator. This single position class is characterized by their responsibility for planning, designing, developing, executing and supporting Epic Systems Corp (Epic) Electronic Health Record (EHR) and healthcare ecosystem for the County of San Bernardino. The Administrator will assess the impact of emerging technologies, providing solutions, managing all department, staff, and financial resources to meet business needs and security requirements. The Epic Systems Administrator will lead three Epic Systems Managers and supporting project managers and analysts through an Epic utility implementation for Epic Enterprise Suite implementation of all Clinical, Revenue Cycle and associated Technology systems across all inpatient, outpatient and revenue cycle departments. This position willoversee a large team of Epic Systems Analysts, Epic Principal Trainers,Epic Systems Supervisor/Project Managers and the Epic Systems Manager.

Conditions of Employment

Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.
Travel:May travel by airplane to Wisconsin for trainingfor up to eight (8) weeksat a time beginning May 2020.Travel expenses will be paid forby theCounty of San Bernardino.In addition, incumbents must be willing to travel throughout the County.
License: A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire.
Commitment: Incumbents must be willing to commit to this project team during the implementation of the Epicsystem which is expected to last 2 years.



Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree in information technology, healthcare administration or technology, business administration or a closely related field.

Experience:Three(3)years of experience managingan IT Division supporting enterprise systems within a large healthcare organization providing multiple services.



Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have received certification for multiple Epic modulesfrom Epic Systems Corp (EPIC) and has lead a team through a healthcare implementation. Experience in an acute care hospital is highly desired.

Note:Acute Care is a level of health care in which a patient is treated for a brief but severe episode of illness, for conditions that are the result of disease or trauma, and during recovery from surgery.
