The Job

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)is recruiting for Case Management Supervisorwhosupervise Registered Nurse Case Managers engaged in case management functions in coordinating patient care. In addition, this position oversee systems for obtaining third party payer payments for admissions, continued stays, and procedures as required; serves as a resource relating to complex problem solving and services provided; and identifies areas of over and under utilization.

ARMC, which is owned and operated by the County of San Bernardino, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university affiliated teaching medical center featuring the newest in technology in the field of patient care. ARMC, is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing approximately 90,000 annual visits, Level II Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons and a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and three Primary Care Family Health Centers. ARMC is a certified Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 3000 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit.The Cancer Registry at ARMC accessions approximately 750 new cancer cases annually.

Background: Applicants must successfully pass a backgroundinvestigation prior to appointment.
Work Schedule: Some weekend and evening availability required.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Mileage reimbursement is available. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.

Minimum Requirements

License: Must possess and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.


Experience: Three (3) years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital, which included one (1) year of case management experience and one (1) year of experience as a lead or charge nurse. Experience may be concurrent.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates with Interqual and/or MCGSoftware and Utilization Review experience are desired.
