We are currently seeking experienced candidates for the position of Curriculum Specialist. The CSU Chancellor's Office, located on the waterfront adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific in downtown Long Beach, is the headquarters for the nation's largest and most diverse system of higher education. Salary
The salary range for this classification is $3,897 to $7,051 per month.

Position Information
The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a Curriculum Specialist to be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with eText providers assuring the most accurate and cost effective materials for CalStateTEACH; oversee the branding of CalStateTEACH including authoring and editing Program materials, including the CalStateTEACH public website and social media platforms, for use or viewing by program participants, school site personnel, accreditation agencies and the general public; develop and support an advertising plan including community outreach and social media; analyze feedback and data from all stakeholders regarding each curricular element and suggesting appropriate modifications; review Program materials for accuracy and ease of use; review curricular courses and clinical experience courses for accuracy and clarity; edit iBook author files for curricular publications; provide online Help Desk assistance; assist in planning and development of CalStateTEACH webinars for the CSU system; collaborate with Lead Technology Coordinator, Technology Support Specialist, and Instructional Media Developer to continue to add desired features to the curriculum and provide technical support to students and faculty; assist in the authoring of materials for grant applications; serving as chief archivist; providing support for systemwide meetings as needed; and obtaining intellectual property permissions.

Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Systemwide Director of CalStateTEACH, the Curriculum Specialist will:
-Edit and author Program materials for use by program participants;
-Author and edit Program materials for use by administration and support staff;
-Author and edit Program documentation for accreditation;
-Analyze existing materials and feedback data;
-Analyze EdQ, CTC, and CalStateTEACH exit data;
-Negotiate contracts with publishers, journals, and other printed and electronic materials that are used in the CalStateTEACH curriculum and Program materials;
-Arrange Systemwide meetings as needed;
-Support Regional, Systemwide, and Accreditation meetings;
-Arrrange and support systemwide webinars;
-Lead evaluation and research teams when requested by Systemwide Director;
-Collaborate with Systemwide Administrative Analyst on purchasing suggested products for CalStateTEACH;
-Community outreach to assure a strong community presence from CalStateTEACH across the state. (ex: Coordinating CalStateTEACH in Super Saturday and Super Sunday and other local community events.);
-Development and support of CalStateTEACH social media platforms;
-Development and support of any CalStateTEACH advertisement;
-Regional meeting support.

Qualifications
This position requires:
-A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related area from an accredited four-year university or college and a minimum of three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Experience with developing social media platforms and advertisement.
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects and meet deadlines.
-Strong editing and proofreading skills.
-Ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.
-Ability to maintain professional and productive working relationships with staff members and external community constituents.
-Proficiency with current computer platforms and software programs, such as including MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills, thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.
-Prior experience working on distance learning or systemwide university programs is desirable.
