The Physics Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking to hire full-time lecturers for academic year 2020-2021 beginning September 10, 2020 (with possible extension to a second academic year 2021-22). Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Primary duties and responsibilities are to teach undergraduate physics (and possibly, astronomy) lecture and lab courses. A Ph.D. in Physics, Physics Education or Astronomy (or a closely related field with a strong physics background) is required.
All requirements for the Ph.D. must be completed before September 10, 2020.
Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required.
