Salary: $51,281 - $76,170 per yr USD
Environmental Scientists perform program research, planning and development, permitting, compliance monitoring, inspections/enforcement, and technical support services in relation to air, water, waste, federal facilities, corrective action, mining, biology and other environmental programs. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This position is located with the Environmental Division in Las Vegas. Incumbent will be responsible for conducting Desert Tortoise fence inspections; performing biological field studies, data reviews, construction monitoring and research. This position also attends and participates in project related meetings, field reviews, plan and specification reviews, public meetings, and other functions to provide specific input for project development. The incumbent will secure state and federal permits in conformance with the Endangered Species Act. THIS RECRUITMENT MAY BE USED TO UNDERFILL AN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST III.
