Employment Status: Part-Time, Temporary, "Non-Exempt" position.
Work Schedule: To be determined. This position is budgeted for approximately 19 hours per week, NO benefits will be provided.
Salary: The anticipated hourly rate is $17.00.

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Exceptional customer service is a top priority.
Assist with member relations via walk-in, phone and mail; Assist with marketing of member events and trips; Assist with distribution of member parking permits.
Maintain and update member records, including contact information. Maintain prospective member list.
Assist with the production of catalogs 3-4 times per year. Prepare content including course descriptions, instructor biographies, and event and trip information. Proofread for accuracy, style, grammar, and spelling. Assist with local catalog distribution.
Create and coordinate mass email communications. Maintain the email calendar and plan content to meet program needs. Write emails and add graphics in alignment with program brand standards. Monitor and update email distribution lists.
Monitor the website and make updates as needed using the web editor tools. Write website content and select graphic images in alignment with program and university standards. Maintain the website calendar.
Develop flyers and posters to help promote a wide variety of program offerings. Use templates to maintain brand consistency. Coordinate printing of materials.
Process membership and course registrations using the online registration system.
Use social media to market program offerings and reach new audiences. Monitor OLLI social media platforms and create posts to promote program engagement.
Support staff events with set-up, general event support, and tear down. Some evening events may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND equivalent to three (3) years of experience in general office administrative and clerical work.
Applicants must have experience using standard office software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or Business.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience to be fully functional in all technical aspects of work assignments;
Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages;
Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects;
Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist;
Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports;
Ability to handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
