SUMMARY OF POSITION Under the direction of the Development Engineering Manager, performs or assists with managing tasks associated with development review including but not limited to: engineering plan review for residential subdivision and commercial site development; attending Development Review Committee meetings; conducting meetings with consultants, engineers, property owners, and residents; planning public infrastructure systems, including streets, drainage, water, and sewer systems; and project management tasks including cost estimates, easement acquisition, schedule management, and construction observation. Acts as a liaison with consultants and external engineers. Responds to public inquiries and inter-departmental inquiries relating to land development functions. Assists with site inspections during all stages of construction projects. Have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other appropriate technical field. 2. Have at least three (3) years of progressively responsible post-graduate experience in one or more of the following areas: planning, design and construction of public works projects; planning, design and construction of utility projects; planning, design and construction of private development projects; or other closely related project or construction experience. Highly Preferred: 3. At least one (1) - three (3) years of experience in Public Works Engineering in the areas of water and wastewater infrastructure and drainage; especially design experience! 4.
