ABOUT THE POSITION The Clark County Public Works Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Electrician & Electrician (CDL) position in the Traffic Management Division. Constructs, prepares, and maintains City athletic fields, including mowing, fertilizing, edging, mound construction, infield maintenance, base layout, dirt work, dragging, and lining fields. Designs and installs irrigation systems; performs troubleshooting and repairs on systems; installs irrigation clocks; performs winterization of irrigation systems, drinking fountains, and outdoor kitchens. Mixes and applies fertilizers and pesticides to turf areas, trees, shrubs planter beds, and around buildings as directed and authorized. Assists in project work involving forming, pouring, and finishing concrete; constructs, replaces, and maintains signs; constructs installation of kiosks and fences. Performs electrical work including changing outlets, replacing light ballasts, replacing/upgrading damaged light fixtures, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Assists in constructing new parks and landscaped areas, as directed; sets up and cleans up parks and facilities for special events; assists in training and overseeing seasonal employees.
