Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Radiologic Technologists I who perform a variety of radiographic procedures. The Radiologic Technologists perform the following essential functions: prepare and position patients for x-ray examinations and determine correct exposure factors based on height, weight and portion of body involved; select and position appropriate equipment to assure safety of patients and staff; make radiographs of patients as prescribed by physicians for use in diagnosis; maintain basic patient records for documentation and billing purposes; clean and maintain equipment and order supplies.

ARMC, which is owned and operated by the County of San Bernardino, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated, teaching medical center featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. ARMC, is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level II Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and five Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background Investigation: Candidates must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment and education.
Promotion: Radiologic Technologists I are eligible to promote to Radiologic Technologist II ( $56,659 - $77,833 Annually) upon receipt of a satisfactory work progress report. Incumbents must be promoted within 24 months or be terminated.
Certification: Must obtain certification in Fluoroscopy with the State of California, Department of Public Health within six (6) months of hire.
Candidates must possess and maintain all of the following:
Certification with the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist.
Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Health Association.
Registration: Must possess and maintain registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of radiologic experience in an acute care hospital.
Examination: There will be a competitive evaluation based on a review of the Application and Supplemental Questionnaire. It is to your advantage to include as much relevant and detailed work experience as possible.
