Classification Standards: This is the highest level in the Data Science series. Positions supervise staff in the development of sophisticated statistical models and forecasting tools; create, maintain, and leverage big data assets to drive evidence-based program design and management; and construct data science products, such as automated reports and predictive scores, to meet departmental or divisional requirements. Data Science Supervisor is distinguished from Senior Data Scientist class by its responsibility for supervising a section of data science professionals, whereas the latter provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise to a project or team.
