The Public Works Department is currently recruiting to fill four (4) vacant positions for the Stationary Engineer classification. Out of state motor vehicle operator’s license will be accepted during the application process. Certificates: Must be Type 1 or Type 2 certified for Handling Chlorofluorocarbons at the time of application, and obtain a Federal Universal Certification for Handling Chlorofluorocarbons within nine (9) months from the date of hire. Education: 1) Possession of a high school diploma, G.E.D. equivalency or high school proficiency certificates and (2) satisfactory completion of at least one college-level course in BOTH basic refrigeration and electricity OR completion of a HVAC trade school program.
