is looking for an Epic RN Analyst II
who is a licensed Registered Nurse to join the Epic team. This is the journey level classification in the new Epic RN series. Incumbents in these positions will utilize their professional expertise to perform moderately complex systems analysis and applications programming, and will serve as a resource for implementing technical solutions and clinical information to meet customer business needs. The Epic RN Analyst II will function in a support role on major new development project teams. Incumbents work with internal Epic Analysts and technical staff
to conceptualize function, data structures and best fit, and create functional specifications to meet customer expectations.

, which is owned and operated by the County of San Bernardino, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated, teaching medical center featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. ARMC, is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level II Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and five Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Background:
Applicants selected for this position must pass a background investigation and medical examination including drug screening.Certification:
must obtain EPIC certification in every assigned module within 30 days of hire. The Clinical Informatics Department in collaboration with the Epic implementation executive team will reserve its right to extend beyond 30 days if the core training class schedule falls outside the 30-day hiring period. If certification is not obtained after 30 days of hire or the dedicated extended time allowance, the incumbent's employment will be terminated.Training:
Training will be provided online and administered at an ARMC and/or County training facility. Applicants will be required to report to the worksite for in-class training for up to 8 hours a day
while adhering to COVID-19 safety/social distancing protocols.License
: A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire. Travel:
may need to travel to Wisconsin by airplane for training on an as needed. basis. Travel expenses will be paid for by the County of San Bernardino. Commitment
: Incumbents must be willing to commit to this project during the implementation of this system which is expected to last 2 years.Minimum Requirements License
: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered.Certification
: Must have current Epic Certification in one or more modules obtained through Epic Systems Corporation.Experience
: Option 1
: One (1) year of experience as an Epic RN Analyst I with ARMC.Option 2
: One (1) year of experience as an RN Analyst on an Epic implementation team. Option 3
: One (1) year of experience as an RN Analyst providing user support for Epic Systems. Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse who is certified in 1 or more Epic modules with extensive experience in the field of clinical informatics, serving as a subject matter expert in the implementation and support of Epic Systems in an acute care hospital setting. Selection Process
There will be a competitive evaluation
of qualifications based on the information provided in your Application and the Supplemental Questionnaire. Applicants that are placed on the eligible list will be required to take a Logic Test provided by EPIC and hosted by the County of San Bernardino. The most highly qualified candidates will be referred to the department for an interview.
