Description The City of Laguna Beach Community Development Department is seeking customer service-oriented individuals to fill the positions of Permit Technician and Senior Permit Technician! DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS The Plan Check Engineer requires registration as a California Professional Civil Engineer and is distinguished from the Sr. Plan Checker classification which is responsible for non-engineering level plan check functions and the supervision of plan check staff. The Plan Check Engineer is distinguished from the Permit Center Manager in that the latter is responsible for the administration and management of the entire Permit Center.
