Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is looking for an Epic Clinical Analyst II to join the Epic Team. This position is the journey level classification in the new Epic Clinical series. Incumbents in these positions will utilize their clinical expertise to perform moderately complex systems analysis and applications programming, serve as a resource for implementing technical solutions to meet customer business needs, and function in a support role on major new development project teams. The Epic Clinical Analyst II will work with other internal analysts and technical staff to conceptualize function, data structures and best fit, and create functional specifications to meet customer expectations.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
ARMC, which is owned and operated by the County of San Bernardino, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated, teaching medical center featuring the newest technology in the field of patient care. ARMC, is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level II Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and five Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.
Certification: Incumbent must obtain EPIC certification in every assigned module within 30 days of hire. The Clinical Informatics Department in collaboration with the Epic implementation executive team will reserve its right to extend beyond 30 days if the core training class schedule falls outside the 30-day hiring period. If certification is not obtained after 30 days of hire or the dedicated extended time allowance, the incumbent's employment will be terminated.
Training: Training will be provided online and administered at an ARMC and/or County training facility. Applicants will be required to report to the worksite for in-class training for up to 8 hours a day while adhering to COVID-19 safety/social distancing protocols.
License: A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire.
Travel: Applicant may need to travel to Verona, Wisconsin by airplane for training on an as needed basis. Travel expenses will be paid for by the County of San Bernardino.
Commitment: Incumbents must be willing to commit to this project during the implementation of this system which is expected to last 2 years.
Certification: Epic Certification in one or more modules obtained through Epic Systems Corporation. (Must submit proof of certification, i.e., legible copy of certificate)
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Social Work, Heath Science, Clinical Nutrition, Speech Pathology or closely related fields from an accredited college or university .
Option 1: 1 year of experience on the Epic Clinical Analyst I with ARMC as a Clinical Lab Scientist, Cytotechnologist, Dietitian, Genetic Counselor, Occupation Therapist, Physical Therapist, Social Services Practitioner, Speech Therapist or closely related with ARMC.
Option 2: 1 year of experience as an analyst on an Epic implementation team with expertise as a Clinical Lab Scientist, Cytotechnologist, Dietitian, Genetic Counselor, Occupation Therapist, Physical Therapist, Social Services Practitioner, Speech Therapist or closely related.
Option 3: 1 year of experience as an analyst providing user support for Epic Systems with expertise as a Clinical Lab Scientist, Cytotechnologist, Dietitian, Genetic Counselor, Occupation Therapist, Physical Therapist, Social Services Practitioner, Speech Therapist or closely related.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the one of the clinical areas listed above as well experience in the field of clinical informatics, serving as a subject matter expert in the implementation and support of Epic Systems in an acute care hospital setting.
There will be a competitive evaluation of qualifications based on the information provided in your Application and the Supplemental Questionnaire. The most highly qualified candidates will be referred to the department for an interview.
