SUMMARY OF THE POSITION Under general supervision of the Traffic Signs-Markings Supervisor, the Signs and Markings Technician position maintains traffic control devices on City streets and right of ways. Completes work orders summarizing daily work tasks. Trims trees that obstruct traffic control signage. Assists with the gathering of Traffic sign data for city asset management program. Reads and interprets plans, schematics, product safety data sheets, and the TMUTCD. Drives to various locations in the course and scope of daily job duties.
