Department of Athletics
Position: Assistant Coach, Women's Tennis. This is a benefit-based, part-time, academic-year appointment in the Department of Athletics. Subsequent appointments are based on merit and program needs.
Starting Date: August 2021
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, master's degree preferred; physical education or related field required. Minimum three to five year's successful coaching experience at the collegiate, high school, or club levels.
Preferred Qualifications: A potential candidate's consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of: Demonstrated successful coaching experience at the collegiate, high school or club levels, commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete; excellent written and oral communication skills and administrative abilities; demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a multi-ethnic, multicultural environment and the ability to secure and maintain a valid California driver's license.

Duties: Serve as an Assistant Coach for an NCAA Division II program. The University belongs to the CCAA Conference. Under the direction of the head coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in all facets of the program. Responsibilities include assisting in all training and games, recruiting, camps, ordering equipment, scheduling, office administration, and fund-raising. Responsible for transporting coaches and/or student-athletes in state vehicles and/or rental vehicles for team travel and/or recruiting needs. The Assistant Coach is responsible for enforcement of institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations relevant to Cal State LA Department of Athletics.
Salary: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
