California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking an experienced culinary leader to provide guidance to kitchen staff in all aspects of the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals to patients at Kern Valley State Prison.

 

In this key role, you will:

  • Supervise and train both staff and inmate-workers, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of kitchen worksite, including equipment and storage areas, while maintaining food handling, safety, and sanitation best practices and standards.
  • Manage and document all kitchen inventories,

Effective July 1, 2020, in response to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Personal Leave Program 2020 (PLP 2020) was implemented.
