The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo invites applications for full-time postdoctoral fellowships for the 2021-22 academic year spanning the domains of Transportation, Structural, and Construction Engineering. The positions will be appointed at 80% combined teaching and research with a 20% release for efforts in course development, instructional training, and ad hoc department advising needs. The postdoctoral fellow will engage with campus entities including the Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT), Office of University Diversity and Inclusivity (OUDI), Grants Development Office (GDO), and Center for Service in Action (CSA) to enhance their teaching and scholarship. We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the areas: transportation modeling and simulation, travel behavior and forecasting, data science applications/programming, GIS, database and visualization tools, sustainable transportation, AutoCAD/BIM/Revit, construction engineering, structural/civil materials, structural design, infrastructure rehabilitation, life cycle analysis, and/or structural health monitoring. The position is for one academic year renewable based on department needs and success of the candidate. Requirements include a Ph.D. in civil engineering or a closely related field, currency in the field, and the willingness and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in, and adjacent to, the candidate's area of expertise. SPECIAL CONDITIONS
