Description: Administrative Support Assistant II Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2,912 per month
Full Classification Salary Range: $2,912 - $4,592 per month
- This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Under the general supervision of the Department Chair and lead direction of the Administrative Support Coordinator, the incumbent provides a variety of general to moderately complex clerical support to the Department of Kinesiology and serves as a lead-worker in the ASA series. The position will have direct contact with faculty, students, campus staff, and members of the community who need assistance.Key Qualifications
- Knowledge and skill with current office automation; fluency in using standard office software packages, including word processing, electronic spreadsheet, database, web access, and e-mail practices
- Demonstrated use of problem-solving skills and using effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and set priorities to meet frequent deadlines
- Effective listening, writing and oral skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions and under pressure of deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to use standard office equipment

- Two years of progressively responsible administrative support experience
- Experience providing customer service to a wide variety of individuals
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets, or similar record-keeping experience
