is recruiting for entry level Clinical Laboratory Scientists I
who perform a wide variety of analytic laboratory procedures and learn applicable laboratory policies and processes in the areas of Chemistry, Serology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank and Microbiology. Duties include specimen evaluation and awareness of pre-analytic processes; instrument maintenance; performance of quality control; accurate, and efficient analysis of patient results using standardized routine and specialized procedures to determine the presence or absence of abnormal results; evaluation of patient data for accuracy and proper reporting of critical results to appropriate healthcare practitioners; appropriate troubleshooting and follow up for aberrant or questionable results; accurate documentation and communication with superiors and other appropriate staff for non-routine occurrences; and to perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of blood, urine, and other body fluids; and preparing stains, medias, and reagents for cultures.For more detailed information, refer to the Clinical Laboratory Scientist I job description.

Minimum Requirements Shift Availability
- ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Night standby pay available. Shift differentials apply.
- Incumbents are routinely exposed to dangerous chemicals and infectious materials.
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist I are eligible for promotion to Clinical Laboratory Scientist II ( $73,444.80 - $106,100.80 Annually ) upon meeting the minimum qualifications and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.
- Some positions are full-time, part-time, or job share.
: Must be available to work ALL SHIFTS (Day, Swing, Night, Rotating and Weekend).AND
One of the following options:
Must possess and maintain a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health. Note: a limited license is not considered qualifying; license must have the "MTA" prefix. B) Graduation
from a CDPH approved CLS training program, AND eligibility
to sit for the CDPH approved certification examination for California CLS licensure. Note:
proof of successful completion of an approved CDPH CLS training program and eligibility to sit for California CLS licensure must be provided by August 31, 2021.
