* Effective July 2022: 2% Salary Increase will be applied

Under general supervision, provides advanced professional, technical, administrative, and analytical assistance in conducting a variety of comprehensive analyses and coordinating municipal policies, procedures and services in the City Manager/City Council and Finance departments.

Under general supervision, provides professional, technical, administrative, and analytical assistance in conducting a variety of comprehensive analyses and coordinating municipal policies, procedures and services in various City departments.

Senior Management Analyst (Confidential)
  • Responsible professional experience equivalent to five years of full-time experience in a public agency performing analytical work.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a closely-related field. A Master's, Master of Business Administration or Juris Doctorate degree or current enrollment in any of these programs may substitute for two years of experience.

Senior Management Analyst
  • Responsible professional experience equivalent to five years of full-time experience in a public agency performing analytical work.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a closely-related field. A pertinent graduate degree is desirable.
Management Analyst/Management Analyst (Confidential)
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a closely-related field.
  • Responsible professional experience equivalent to two years of full-time experience in a public agency performing administrative work. A pertinent graduate degree can substitute for one year of the required experience.

Management Aide/Management Aide (Confidential):
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a closely-related field; or current enrollment in a four-year college or university as a junior or senior with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or a closely-related field.
  • Previous administrative work experience in a public agency is desirable.

New employees contribute the following amounts on a pre-tax basis towards the 2%@60 or 2%@62 CalPERS retirement formula depending on eligibility:
  • Effective July 8, 2018: 12% of their salary

Employees receive the following health insurance flexible benefits contribution:
  • Effective July 7, 2019: $1,400 monthly
  • Effective June 2022: $1,500 monthly


The City does not participate in the Social Security system; however, federal mandate requires new employees to contribute 1.45% of wages to Medicare. As a condition of employment, all new employees are required to enroll and participate in the direct deposit program.
