Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Academic Personnel Analyst reports to the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs and is responsible for managing the full scope of complex performance evaluation process for tenured and tenure-track faculty and HR processes in Faculty Affairs, ensuring compliance with CSU/CFA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CFA) requirements. The incumbent ensures alignment with complex evaluation policies at all levels (University, College, and Department).
• Serves as the primary campus resource for academic administrators, deans, department chairs, faculty, and campus support staff for faculty evaluation processes and systems, including providing process and policy training to campus constituents.
• Serves as campus lead for Interfolio RPT software for these evaluations with the management of security roles, set-up of individual cases, documentation and training, troubleshooting during review periods, end user support, implementing and testing of new functionality, upgrades, and updates/patches, as well as assessing scalability and initiating requests for software enhancements.
• Manages and analyzes evaluation data and produces relevant reports and ensure the accuracy of master Faculty Affairs data files, comparing data with other databases to detect and minimize data errors.

Qualifications
• Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Master's degree preferred.
• Equivalent to three years of full-time, progressively responsible professional/technical experience in academic setting.
• Administrative experience in an academic environment, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Thorough knowledge of: principles or organization, administration and management; practices and regulations as they pertain to Faculty Affairs. Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment laws, rules, regulations, and collective bargaining procedures. Familiarity with University and system wide policies and procedures.
• Ability and specialized skills to: quickly learn, interpret, and apply multiple and complex rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements; independently apply judgment and identify, research, analyze, and resolve problems; and utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Web software (Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat).
• Work well under pressure and in constantly changing circumstances; and interact with personnel in a highly professional manner. Ability to work with a population from diverse backgrounds, including faculty members, students, staff members, alumni, members of the general public, senior University officials, and persons in senior positions outside the University.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated administrative experience in an academic environment. Demonstrated commitment to effectively support a diverse and inclusive environment while maintaining collegial relationships. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, department chairs, academic student employees, union representatives, and the external community required.
• Ability to use and adapt to new technology and data management/processing systems. Familiarity with University and system wide policies and procedures, including campus policy manuals related to compensation of faculty.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
• The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
• Classification: 1176 / 2
• The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4233-$5333, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $4233-$9514 per month.
• HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
• REG: This is a Regular position with a two-year probationary period.
