THE OPPORTUNITY Social Worker I is the entry level position of the Social Worker series. Employees are expected to acquire the experience and knowledge as a Social Worker I in order to promote to the Social Worker II level within their probation period. OR PATTERN III Education : A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy (M.F.T.) based on a two year program with coursework sufficient to meet State standards for an M.F.T. license which included supervised field placement as part of the course. Under the supervision of the Supervising Public Health Nurse (RN IV); the RN II/PHN serves as part of a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for assessing clients’ ability to live safely in their home by evaluating the risk for institutionalization, monitoring client’s progress through any prescribed rehabilitative, and providing case management in coordination with other departments, agencies, and health providers. EXAMINATION COMPONENTS The examination will consist of the following steps: A review of applicants' application to verify possession of minimum requirements.
