JOB SUMMARY


THE POSITION


The position leads and oversees the administrative divisions of Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources. Functions include overseeing financial planning activities for the Town, directing assigned departments, monitoring departmental programs and activities, supervising department directors and participating in the development and implementation of long-term and short-term goals and objectives. Works closely with Town Management and Town Council to develop and implement organizational goals.

About the Town of Prosper: Located within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area in Collin and Denton Counties. Prosper is 35 miles due north of downtown Dallas and has a land area of approximately 27 square miles located along US 380. Prosper's population is currently over 30,000 with a total buildout projection of 72,000 residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance or a related field. Master's Degree in related field is desirable.
  • Ten years of progressive and professional municipal government experience including five years of experience in finance preferred.
  • Five years of supervisory experience required.
