Summary

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Psychiatrist is a distinguished leader in the Mental Health Division of Colusa County’s Behavioral Health Services team who positively impacts the lives of the people in our community and works collaboratively with Mental Health’s dedicated team of clinical professionals. The Psychiatrist conducts direct psychiatric patient evaluations and assessments and also provides medical expertise, oversight and guidance to clinical staff as part of a comprehensive case management team. A Medical Doctor’s degree and a valid Physician and Surgeon Certificate issued by the State of California Board of Medical Examiners is required. The candidate must also poses or be eligible to obtain certification by the American Board of Psychiatry as a Psychiatrist.

Special Instructions

SALARY $267,972 - $437,724 The salary range indicated above has six annual merit steps with approximately 5% between each step ($267,972 - $342,084). Annual advancement is based upon successful performance. The successful applicant can anticipate being offered a salary between steps 1 through 6 depending on experience and qualifications. The full salary range goes up to step 15 ($437,724). Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps and eligibility for step advancement is based on 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7 through 14 provide increases of 2.5% each. Step 15 provides a 5% increase. *Current Compensation and Benefits Resolution provides for a CPI increase each October of 1-3%.

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of November 29, 2021. A final interview process may be scheduled to further evaluate selected candidates the week of November 29, 2021.
