Position Description Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, life safety systems, building automation and control systems, low voltage electrical systems and other facility assets in City owned buildings. Job Duties and Responsibilities Manage the preventative maintenance schedules for heating, cooling, and ventilation, and other equipment in assigned facilities. Coordinate with the Forman to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities, with combination of own and additional resources. Manage the asbestos containing materials program for City owned facilities. Screen and initiate new work that responds to customer requests. Confirms work details, and determines appropriate action. Oversee the work of vendors working on equipment in assigned facilities. Maintain necessary stocks of fuel, materials, tools, equipment in assigned facilities. Stand-in for and assist the Foreman as needed or required. Coordinate work with trades and others on joint projects in assigned facilities. Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, requests and resolve complaints in assigned facilities. Coordinate facility operation and maintenance activities with building occupants to minimize disruption.
