Description: Job Summary
Under direction of the, the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs - Diversity and Inclusion this position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, providing coordination and administrative services to the AVP and SDAB Centers. This role organizes SADI and SDAB operations, implements and executes Student Affairs and university policy and procedures, and performs a variety of key administrative, operational, and other related functions. This position will work closely with the Operations Analyst and is responsible for budget support and reporting, including gathering data for budget reports. Department Summary
Student Affairs Diversity and Inclusion (SADI) is one of four division-wide priorities for Student Affairs. Student Diversity and Belonging (SDAB) is a collaborative sub-division of campus community centers that serve an active role in creating a culturally rich environment at Cal Poly's campus. Education and Experience
- Demonstrated skill working with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to independently anticipate and prioritize tasks and projects using initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
- Skilled in collection and evaluation of data to develop valid conclusions and recommendations; including, compiling information in concise manner for meetings and/or reports.
High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Four years of general office support experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience.) Salary:
Anticipated Hiring Range: $34,265 - $44,000 Per Year
This position is paid under the 11/12 pay plan, where the salary for 11 months is distributed over 12 months. The salary will be received every month. The incumbent will have July off every year (with pay, benefits, and vacation/sick leave accrual continuing through months off). The month off will be July.
