Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions & Program Evaluations (GAPE) in the College of Graduate Studies, the Evaluation Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the communication plan and evaluation of all new and continuing graduate students, including blended program students, attempting to complete Title 5, CSU and University graduate admissions and degree requirements. Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Business Development and External Relations and receiving work lead direction from the Associate Director of International Recruitment and Partnerships, the International Recruitment Advisor provides admission information, academic support and advising to prospective international applicants on a day-to-day basis. Minimum Qualifications In addition to Position Skill Level III requirements, work at this skill level typically requires the following range of skills: • Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of library operations in assigned library unit(s) or department and its relation to overall library operations. • Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of assigned unit’s or department’s principles, policies, practices and procedures and their relationship to overall library functions and other units, and the ability to apply this expertise and judgment to address unique problems. • Thorough knowledge of library collection itself, its organization, and classification schemes. • Comprehensive knowledge of external on-line databases, systems and resources and trends pertaining to assigned functional area, including expertise in searching strategies. • Comprehensive knowledge of institution’s and library’s policies and practices associated with ethical use of and access to library and on-line resources, as well as general knowledge of library bill of rights and code of ethics. • Comprehensive knowledge of national standards and resources pertaining to library operations, including the ability to source and interpret information from such resources. • Comprehensive knowledge of national and institutional standards pertaining to copyright and intellectual property protection and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure full compliance with legal requirements. • Expertise in most aspects of the library’s automated and on-line catalog systems, including database maintenance functions. • Ability to participate in long range planning through the collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation of data and information. • In-depth and comprehensive knowledge of library accounting and budget policies and procedures, including the ability to collect, organize and analyze data to support planning and budgeting. • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of lead work direction and campus human resource and payroll policies and procedures. Required Qualifications EXPERIENCE 1. Experience with library operations in regard to the acquisition, receiving, expenditure, invoicing, and accounting for library materials. 2. Experience with accounting and budget procedures and the library materials allocation process in regards to managing vendor accounts and assisting with the budget process. 3. Experience with drafting documentation of procedures and providing training in elements of acquisitions work to other staff and student assistants. 4. Experience with long-range collections planning through the organization, analysis, and interpretation of data. 5. Experience in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support planning and budgeting. 6. Experience with reconciling multiple library materials accounts. 7. Demonstrated supervisory, project lead, or team lead experience. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES 8. Ability to use bibliographic, periodical, and vendor and commercial databases to search for records. 9. Ability to evaluate and interpret issues regarding acquisitions work and to offer recommendations. 10. Ability to coordinate and liaise with other CSU campuses to problem-solve and participate in developing CSU-wide best practices. 11. Strong communication skills to work successfully with library employees, campus personnel, and various vendors. 12. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and ensure regular workflows. 13.
