The Biomedical Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, is seeking applications for a Full-Time Lecturer position during the 2022-2023 academic year. Primary duties include teaching fundamental and advanced topics and laboratories in Biomedical Engineering such as beginning, intermediate, and advanced biomedical design, biomaterials, engineering physiology, and measurement/analysis. Estimate starting date between July 1st, 2022 and September 30, 2022. Candidates with private industry experience are encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's degree in biomedical engineering, or a closely related field, and teaching or industry experience is required. Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, as well as the ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings is required. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. A Ph.D. is preferred. Industry and teaching experience preferred.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
