. Position Summary:
The Physics Department in the College of Natural Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2022-2023 academic year. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Masters' Degree in Physics or Astronomy or a closely-related field. Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D in Physics, with documented history of teaching experience, is preferred. Familiarity with Physics Education Research and/or Studio Physics teaching is a plus. Bilingual candidates will be given preference. Responsibilities:
Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching physics courses including all semesters of introductory physics, astronomy/cosmology, and other courses as department needs indicate. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department. The Department:
