Job/Department Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Enterprise Applications (EAPP), the Learning Technologies Specialist is responsible for analysis, development, administration, and support of the campus academic/teaching/learning software applications. Applications include the campus learning management systems (Blackboard Learn and Canvas), Google Education Suite, Kaltura Media Platform, Zoom, Pronto, Turnitin, Poll Everywhere, Respondus, Proctorio, LinkedIn Learning, and other similar/integrated applications. The Learning Technologies Specialist works and collaborates closely with others on the EAPP team as well as with the Technology and Learning Program team to maximize the value of the investment in our academic/teaching/learning applications and to ensure that our faculty and students have the best user experience possible.

Mandatory Vaccinations:

The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be fully immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
  • Bilingual.
  • Experience or exposure to Learning Management Systems applications and the business processes.
  • Familiarity with Blackboard, Collaborate, and Kaltura applications.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, or related discipline.
  • Experience working in higher education.

Required Education and Experience:

The qualifications listed above would normally be obtained by a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems educational technology, communications or job-related field or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study.
AND
Two years of full-time job-related experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of job-related experience and education providing the requisite skills and knowledge to independently apply technical judgment to standard application systems.

Time Base: Full-time


Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm

Salary and Benefits Information:

$4,372 - $10,792 per month / $52,464 - $129,504 annually (New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range)
