Major Responsibilities : General Law Enforcement Protect students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, property, and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforce laws, traffic, and parking regulations. Issue citations for violations within department jurisdictions. Apprehend violators, make arrests, and appear in court as required. Provide general information and assistance to the public. Assist in investigations, administrative assignments, projects, and other duties as assigned. Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Sergeant, the Police Officer independently performs a variety of general law enforcement and patrol duties. Labor Relations Officer is distinguished from the next higher classification of Labor Relations Manager in that the latter is primarily defined by its supervisory/management role and general responsibility for day-to-day work with departments and contract administration.
