Position: Lecturer: Temporary faculty positions with the possibility of renewal for additional semesters.
Starting Date: On-going. Positions will be filled as needed for each academic semester.
Candidate must have an appropriate degree from an accredited university (bachelor’s degree and substantial teaching experience for lower division courses; master’s degree for upper division undergraduate courses; doctoral degree, or master’s degree and substantial teaching experience for graduate courses). Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to join faculty, staff, students, and administrators in our University’s shared commitment to the principles of engagement, service, and the public good.
The department has needs in all areas of political science, but our highest demand is in the field of American politics.
Appropriate doctoral or terminal degree in political science, public administration, or a related field.
Faculty will teach courses and be available for office hours. Faculty may be asked to teach on-campus or in online/hybrid modes.
Salary: Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
