Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Hospital Environmental Services Supervisor. The Hospital Environmental Services Supervisor assists in the administration of ARMC's Environmental Services and Linen Departments. Responsibilities include directing and supervising, through subordinate supervisors, the daily operations of the department. Duties include evaluating environmental services, planning, assigning and reviewing work; conducting or participating in disciplinary actions, hiring, orientation, planning; and developing in-service training, maintaining facility cleanliness, safety and quality of work. In addition, the position represents the department on various hospital committees.

ARMC, which is owned and operated by San Bernardino County, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated teaching medical center featuring the newest in technology in the field of patient care. ARMC is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 90,000 annual visits, a Level I Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and four Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.
Background: Applicants selected for these positions must successfully pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting and verification of employment history.
Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be "fully vaccinated and boosted" for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Experience: Two (2) years of supervisory experience over housekeeping staff in an acute care hospital.
The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of medical waste; hospital linen handling and processing, and experience participating in hospital committees.
Examination: There will be a competitive evaluation based on a review of the Application and Supplemental Questionnaire. It is to your advantage to include as much relevant and detailed work experience as possible.
