Salary: $15.50 per hour

Duration of Assignment: Not to exceed 1000 hours or 1 year whichever comes first

Program: Geological Survey Program

Job Location: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Missouri Geological Survey, and will be located at 111 Fairgrounds Road, Rolla, MO 65401.

As a geology intern with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources' Missouri Geological Survey you will be assist in preserving and exposing Missouri's valuable geoscience data to promote their discovery and use for research and resource development. You will also support the core values of the Geological Survey Program which include Technical Competency, Service, Professionalism, Ingenuity, and Cooperation and the mission and values of the Division and Department.

What you'll do:

Log core and collect data
Conduct database entry

Professional Experience to be Gained:

Experience logging core
An understanding of Missouri geology and stratigraphy
Experience with metadata
ArcGIS skills
Problem solving skills
Working as a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework in stratigraphy
