Our work environment includes: Modern Office Setting Growth Opportunities Wellness Programs Licensed Practical Nurse We're looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of nurses who help provide one-on-one care for our consumers. A successful candidate has previous experience working with the developmentally disabled, a strong work ethic and an active interest in helping to care for our consumers. It is often said that there is no greater satisfaction than working directly with our consumers, and this is absolutely true. It's extremely rewarding, since many of our consumers are living well. Knowledge and Responsibilities Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices, and techniques. Skill in applying practical nursing principles in the care of persons with physical or mental illness, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or the geriatric population. Ability to work assigned schedule which may include a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or required overtime. You will be responsible for providing physical and emotional care for residents with developmental disabilities, monitoring and reporting vital signs, communicating with physicians, providing emotional support for consumers and staff, mentoring other staff members, and working with rehabilitation specialists to plan a consumer's regimen of care.
