The Department of Watershed Management is a regional public water and wastewater utility serving 1.2 million people each day. The Department’s core services include treatment and distribution of safe drinking water; collection and treatment of wastewater to a high standard; management of watersheds within the City of Atlanta; and customer care and billing services for 164,000 accounts. Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Water Resources Management, Environmental Science or Policy, Land Use Planning, Engineering, Soils Science, Hydrology, or related area with some experience in water quality management (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).
  • 5 years of work experience in the Water Management role.

Preferred Education & Experience

Master's degree with a major in Water Resources Management, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related area with a Minimum of 10 years of experience in InfoWorks ICM and/or Infowater software, Flowlink software, open-channel hydraulics and pressurized water system. Mid-level knowledge of GIS is preferred. (Equivalent professional experience may be considered for substitution for the required degree on an exception basis).

Licensures and Certifications

None required. Professional Licensed Engineer Certifications or similar certifications preferred.
