The Job

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Radiology School Program Director who will direct the activities of the School of Radiologic Technology.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising
  • Maintain standards in the overall school design as established by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Ensure compliance with the guidelines and regulations mandated by the Joint Review Committee, State agencies, and other accrediting organizations
  • Serve as Adjunct faculty at Crafton Hills College which sponsors the Radiology Technology Program at ARMC
  • Participates in budget planning; didactic and/or clinical, as appropriate

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.

Certification: Must maintain Radiologic Technologist certification and Fluoroscopy certification with the State of California throughout employment. Incumbents with out of state Radiologic Technologist must obtain Radiologic Technologist certification and Fluoroscopy certification with the State of California within six (6) months of hire or be terminated.

Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Vaccination Exemptions: Upon hire, candidates will be required to submit proof of vaccination including the booster dose or request an exemption from the vaccination and booster requirements based on either religious belief or medical reasons

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet ALL of the following:

Certification: Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association AND a current certification with the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist (RT).

Registration: Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Experience: Three (3) years of Medical Imaging experience AND two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited radiography program.

Education: Master's degree in Radiology or closely related field.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess experience in course curriculum development and experience with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
