This position will be located at the St. Louis Area Office at 2650 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis MO, 63103.

Duration of Assignment: April to October
  • Assist with St. Louis Area Office special events, including preparation, set up, day of logistics, and clean up
  • Attend Show Me Missouri State Park field trips and assist staff, record trip data, and report any issues or incidents
  • Assist with office communications and duties
  • Attend Kastler School of Interpretation training in May
  • Develop and present programs to St. Louis City community
  • Attend Outdoor Ranger field trips and assist staff
  • Assist Missouri State Park staff with special events

  • Stamina: Exerts oneself physically over long periods of time without tiring (which may include performing repetitive tasks such as hammering or lifting objects).

  • Receive training in interpretation and AED/CPR/First Aid

  • Gain skills in outdoor education and field trip management
  • Gain skills in public speaking, problem solving, and time management
  • Gain first-hand knowledge of existing and open full time positions within Missouri State Parks
