Essential Duties These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned. The Position requires the appointee to provide video and photographic services as required for various APD functions and events. The appointee is responsible for analyzing and determining photo/video requirements for projects as outlined by the Director of Marketing and Creative Services Manager to produce compelling photos and videos in support of the initiatives. The position is responsible for the management, maintenance and facilitation of use of the APD public address (PA) sound system. The appointee is responsible for the capture, catalog, and maintenance of an archive of current and past airport photographs and videos. The responsibility will require the appointee to coordinate with internal divisions within APD and the City of Atlanta to remain abreast of new developments (ex: construction, local events directly impacting APD). The position works directly with the creative services staff to capture necessary photographs and videos to incorporate into promotional materials and reports. The position is responsible for applying advanced photo and video production knowledge as well as advanced techniques for each genre to produce professional photographs and broadcast quality video programming for the promotion of APD. The position is responsible for the direction and production of complex promotional materials including broadcast quality video programs, computer-generated graphics for video and media promoting airport activities and services. The appointee is responsible for the operation and maintenance of video and photographic equipment; inclusive of but not limited to: photo and/or video cameras, lenses, tripods, lighting gear, sound recording equipment, computer editing station, digital storage equipment. The position is responsible for the coordination, production and leadership of all APD studio and on/off location video photo projects. The appointee is responsible for the management and orchestration of projects that require assistance from contracted vendors to supply APD with additional video/photographic production services. The appointee is responsible for evaluating and interpreting photo/video unit needs; assessing unit equipment requirements and the submittal of recommendations for improvement. The position will operate a broadcast grade multi-source video editing system, special effects, digital effects generators, video graphics and titling systems, and audio enhancing systems to produce broadcast quality programming. Selects footage, photos and transitions effects either independently or in cooperation with Marketing Director and/or the Creative Services Manager. Serves as director and/or videographer for studio and location production as required The position is responsible for working with and directing talent as required for photo and/or video projects. The appointee is responsible for upholding a strict level of quality control in maintaining the corporate identity of APD and its divisions as well as that of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport through photo and video production. The appointee is required to work in conjunction with the APD Director of Communications and appointed staff to maintain the APD social media pages/sites for: YouTube, Vimeo, ATLNews.
