Job Summary: Under general direction of the Associate Vice President, Faculty Affairs and Development, the Executive Assistant will perform coordination of the entire clerical and administrative support functions for the Office of Faculty Affairs and Development, ensuring that office operations are successfully completed. Provides coordination for the Associate Vice President’s calendar and travel, and meetings; gathering background and supplemental information, maintaining meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes, and following up on action items; assisting other FAD staff members in the planning of campus events as necessary (e.g., New and Newly Promoted Faculty Brunch and the Faculty University Awards Ceremony); generating reports for the Associate Vice President pertaining but not limited to budget, employee data including confidential information, and strategic initiatives. Works independently to perform multiple specialized, high-priority tasks that are analytical in nature; anticipates, identifies, and gathers data on critical issues such as faculty recruitment and retention while obtaining advice and input from relevant campus entities; creates surveys and analyzes data from respondents; assists in developing and submitting the mid-year and end-of-the-year report of FAD’s work on the strategic plan to divisional leadership. Keeps records and drafts correspondences, memos, speeches, and briefings for the Associate Vice President; edits and proofreads department plans, executive summaries, and strategic plans.
