JOB OPPORTUNITY BEHAVIORAL TECHNICIAN St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers Expected Salary: up to $37,455.18 - Annually St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers currently has an opening for a Behavioral Technician at St. Charles Habilitation Center. The normal schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, with Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays off. Working hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm; however, flexibility with working hours will be necessary. Job Duties: This position is responsible for observing client behavior, collecting data, as well as implementation and training of behavior support. Employees at this level enter observational data into assessment systems for summarization and analysis, participate in reliability and coding checks, interview clients, and prepare summaries of test results . Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is preferred or obtained within the first year of employment. • Gathering and reviewing behavioral data on an ongoing basis in order to participate in treatment decisions • Observing consumers and recording behavioral observations and interactions. • Assisting with on-going behavioral coaching with direct care staff by modeling and coaching intervention strategies, discussing additional/alternative strategies with direct care staff, and intervene as needed with behavioral crises on-campus. • Completing training on consumer Behavior Support Plans across all three shifts, assisting with training in new employee orientation, and becoming a certified instructor in Safety-Care (Behavioral Safety Training) and Re-Certification. • Assisting the BCBA with data collection, behavioral observations, preference assessments, and other necessary tasks to provide information for the development of consumer Functional Behavior Assessments. • Maintaining files and records of behavioral evaluations and performing other work as assigned. Eligibility Requirements: One or more years of professional experience as a Behavioral Technician.
