JOB SUMMARY
The Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the acquisition, disposition and management of all SAWS real property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinates and assists in the management of all SAWS real property to include rent collections, rent payments, and landlord/tenant issues for leases such as ag leases, cell tower leases, oil and gas leases, office leases (as tenant).
  • Coordinates the acquisition and disposition of SAWS real property based on internal needs of the System.
  • Coordinates the preparation of bid proposal documentation for professional services such as title, survey, appraisal, and environmental contracts.
  • Develops written reports and correspondence related to financial budgets, rental income, and the designation of surplus property.
  • Coordinates, manages and maintains property tax records.
  • Analyzes, projects, and monitors real property expenditures and management.
  • Represents SAWS as property manager in dealing with landowners or other parties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING
  • This position receives functional guidance from the Manager of Corporate Real Estate.
  • This position works under general supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Four years’ asset or property management, real estate sales and/or appraisal experience, and other real estate experience, including right of way acquisitions.
  • Valid Class “C“ Texas Driver’s License.
JOB DIMENSIONS
  • Working knowledge of deed restrictions, zoning ordinances and other real estate instruments.
  • Skilled in the proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to establish and maintain contact with internal and external customers, property owners, attorneys, developers and governmental agencies.
  • May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights, weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally. Subject to sitting and standing for long periods of time. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing. Working conditions are primarily in an office environment and performs occasional field visits. May operate a company or personal vehicle to conduct field visits.
