Colusa County Transit is a dial-a-ride system with fixed timed routes to:
  • Colusa
  • Williams
  • Arbuckle
  • Maxwell
  • Princeton
  • Grimes
  • Sites
  • Stonyford


Colusa County Transit consists of nine vehicles. We run six buses each day on various routes on an on-call basis. When scheduling a ride, the customer calls the office, drivers are not allowed to schedule passengers from their bus.

All buses are able to hold 19 passengers or 16 passengers with 2 wheelchairs and are ADA compliant. Passengers are not required to register for ADA service. We provide curb-to-curb service to the general population and door-to-door service for ADA passengers.

Supervision & Examples of Duties

Receives general supervision from the Transit Manager.

Qualifications

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be.

Training:
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

License or Certificate:
  • Possession of a Class A or B California Driver's License with a current Passenger (P) endorsement.

  • Current General Public Para-transit Vehicle (GPPV) Certificate.

  • DOT Medical Certificate.


Supplemental Information

The salary range above consists of 15 steps. Steps 1-6 are annual merit steps with approximately 5% difference between each step, based on successful performance. Steps 7-15 are additional merit steps, requiring 2 years of satisfactory performance at the previous step. Steps 7-14 provide 2.5% increases, while Step 15 offers a 5% increase. The final salary offered will depend on the applicant's experience and qualifications, ranging from steps 1 to 15.
