Provides guidance & training to faculty & specialty specific advisors on most up to date career advising resources to meet students' career counseling needs. 1. In collaboration with the SOM senior career advisors and the Lubbock based Career Development Specialist develops and manages resources and guides for faculty level specialty advisors based on the most up to date information to support accurate and appropriate career advising based on students' medical specialty selection and residency application requirements for a given specialty. 2. Specialty specific faculty advising guides need to include (at a minimum): a) SOM Phase 3 degree requirements; b) recommended Phase 3 elective template/schedule based on desired specialty match; c) timeline for taking USMLE Step 2 exam.
