    Minimum Salary Range: $60,000 or above based on experience

    Job Location: This position will be located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W. High St., Jefferson City, MO 65101

    Why is the work you do in this position important to Missouri?

    The Division of Credit Unions is responsible for the chartering, oversight, and regulation of credit unions in the State of Missouri. This position provides accounting, budgetary and human resources support to the Division. The work you do in this position will help ensure the preservation of integrity and safety of the credit union industry which provides high quality financial products and services to Missouri consumers.

    Accounting and Fisca l:

    • Enter and review accounts payable transactions, including purchase orders, expenditures, vendor refunds, and employee expense reimbursements.
    • Enter and review fixed assets and oversee annual fixed asset inventory.
    • Assist with semi-annual Credit Union assessments.
    • Verify and report all revenues received by the Division.
    • Monitor fund balances and assist with projecting future needs.
    • Prepare and document internal financial reports.
    • Work closely with division and department employees during the budget process.


    Human Resources :

    • Process personnel actions in SAM II HR.
    • Reconcile timekeeping entries and payroll transactions.
    • Participate in recruitment, onboarding and separation processes.
    • Provide guidance to employees based upon federal law, state law, statewide policies and department policies.
    • Maintain personnel files.


    General Office :

    • Manage general facility requests to include office supplies and equipment needs.
    • Assist with making travel arrangements to include processing out of state travel authorizations.
    • Serve as the central contact for the Division Director.
    • Crosstrain with other staff to perform other duties as necessary.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in Accounting.
    • Knowledge of SAM II Financial, SAM II HR, SAM II Data Warehouse, MissouriBUYS and MOBIUS.
    • Knowledge of governmental accounting and budget processes.
    • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources and personnel administration concepts.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with division employees, department and industry counterparts, and the public.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced skills in Excel and a working knowledge of Access are a plus.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Involvement in sessions related to transitioning to MOVERS (ERP and HCM).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment as well as independently.
    • Ability to maintain accurate records.
