The Missouri Public Service Commission regulates investor-owned electric, natural gas, steam, water and sewer utilities in Missouri. We ensure that Missourians receive safe and reliable utility services at just, reasonable and affordable rates. The Information Services Department is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and data of the Commission, along with making sure that all staff have access to the technology resources they need to do their job effectively and efficiently.
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices (iPads and iPhones).
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and user interactions in the help desk ticketing system.
- Assist with IT inventory management, ensuring that all devices are accounted for and properly tracked.
- Assist with basic training and guidance for end-users on IT-related topics (e.g., software use, password management).
- Rare travel within the state of Missouri.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associates degree and 0-3 years of information technology support experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preference given to candidates with: - Proven customer support experience.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different personalities.
- Experience supporting Dell and Apple products.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
